In-depth learning session A: Towards a 21st century logistics strategy for online retail

This workshop is designed for supply chain, logistics and warehousing managers and will guide you through developing a comprehensive and up to date logistics strategy for your business. We’ll uncover how to align your logistics with your business strategy and how to optimise for productivity, accuracy and reliability. You’ll learn how to put in place a development plan to build logistics processes and systems that will scale with your growth and how your particular business profile will require a unique solution for your logistics. Participants will be sent a pre-workshop questionnaire to profile their business ahead of the workshop. They will receive copies of presentations, notes and templates for developing their logistics strategy through the day. There will also be some flexibility to focus on particular areas of interest according to the preferences of the group. Attendees can join in instant case studies and design sessions with Andrew to highlight the strategies discussed in their own business context.

In-depth learning session B: The Path to Operations Excellence – the Roles of Leadership and Management

Leadership is the key to profitably employing and sustaining Operations Excellence (OE). Leadership can define the OE journey, appropriate organisational structures established and skills and processes developed to improve OE. Leadership articulates shared values, a common purpose and prioritizes the things that truly matter to drive the highest levels of OE. Support for OE is delivered through proper tools and training, as well as employee involvement, clearing communicating the rules and open dialogue.
