Jon Cumming
Chief Digital Officer
ACT Government

Jon Cumming was appointed in 2015 as the ACT’s inaugural Chief Digital Officer.  Jon’s mission is to drive the digital agenda and lead the whole of government digital strategic direction to ensure that the ACT Public Service is digitally innovative, dynamic and capable in its service to the community.

Jon has a rich background in Information Technology with experience gained in Sydney, Canberra, the UK and New Zealand.  His roles have included consulting, IT investment management, transformation program leadership and Solution Centre Management - in industries ranging from telecommunications through to the Health Sector.

Prior to his return to Canberra, Jon held the position of Chief Information Officer for the New Zealand Department of Corrections.


Lisa Asquith

Lisa Asquith is the OneGov Relationship Manager focused on improving the citizen’s experience when dealing with government.

Using her considerable commercial experience to drive the government sector to become more dynamic and customer focused, she led and delivered projects (OneGov Direct Access Service and Shop.NSW) that tested the concept of a single government service organisation that exists today.

Previously she managed the NSW Government's Digital Television Trial called ‘Channel NSW’ that grew a local audience of a million viewers before digital television was ‘mainstream’. With substantial experience working with regional communities Lisa was responsible for the development of the Community Technology Centre Network business strategy for the NSW State Government.  This work delivered 83 retail shopfronts in partnership with Communities across NSW. The network continues its operation today, managed by the representative Communities.

Prior to entering Government Lisa was Creative Director of a company that developed into the world’s first built for broadband youth portal funded by Macquarie Bank in 2000.  Lisa has also worked with global entertainment companies to create digital products such as enhanced CDs for their biggest artists including Madonna and Ricky Martin.

She is passionate about the protection of animals and not a bad golfer.

John Dardo joined the ATO in 1997 and has spent more than 15 years working as a senior executive in a range of areas including Compliance and Service Delivery.

Currently the Assistant Commissioner Digital Strategy and Design, John leads a range of digital projects aligned to broader Whole-of-Government outcomes, including:

  • Identity & Security
  • Digital by Default
  • Embedding digital experiences in natural systems

John holds an MBA and a range of tertiary qualifications in Science and Technology, Human Resources, Change Management and is a Fellow of The Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG).


Tiffany White
Head Communication and Marketing

An experienced and effective senior manager offering a strong blend of strategic, people and project skills, with a reputation for successfully navigating complex issues and building and leading high functioning, engaged teams.

Energised by intelligent creativity and collaboration, drawing on a depth of wisdom and experience gained from adapting to various locations and roles across three states in Australia and in New Zealand.

Career built on original expertise in the communication and engagement arena, exercised across a diverse range of portfolios. Recently responsible for a suite of corporate service functions including communication and marketing, human resources, IT, finance and corporate risk.

Has worked with or for all three tiers of government and in the environment, health and university sectors. Successfully balances the complexity of operating in political, highly governed environments with a passion for fostering creativity, innovation and a customer-centric approach.


Jennifer Bednar

Jennifer is a passionate corporate affairs professional, with over 12 years experience in customer service management and business process improvement. In more recent years her Manager Corporate Affairs portfolio at Yarra Ranges Council includes strategy & innovation, governance, corporate planning, communications, and a strong focus on digital transformation and continuous improvement frameworks. She combines her passion for data-driven customer focus with a strong interest in change management and performance analytics.

At Yarra Ranges Jennifer has led the development of a new customer experience vision focusing on customer choice and control. Her current passion is leading our transition into a customer-focused, digital world, while ensuring the ‘human element’ of local government service provision is never overlooked.


Andreas Boehmer
Digital Environment and Enterprise Data Lead
Department of Justice

Andreas Boehmer has 12 years experience working in some of Australia's biggest User Experience and Innovation consultancies. His areas of focus are Design Thinking, Lean Start Up and digital transformation. Andreas joined the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria in 2014 to lead major transformational projects such as BDM's Digital Proof of Identity.
